"Running is a big question mark that's there each and every day. It asks you, 'Are you going to be a wimp or are you going to be strong today?'"

Saturday, June 13th I ran my 9th marathon. My friend Amy was training for her first marathon and found this marathon back in February for Heather and I to run in with her. The Utah Valley Marathon. It was very scenic through the canyon and I loved running on the Provo river parkway but did not like mile 18-20 through woods, swamp land and lots of mosquitos. We were so fortunate to have great weather. The rain storm came after the race was over and we were home resting. The weather was actually alot warmer then we expected at the start line in the canyon. The race started at 6am and I was done 4 hours and 6 minutes later. It wasn't my fastest time but I felt really good after the race. Thanks Amy for putting this together and Heather for driving! You guys rock and are so much fun to run with. I had a great time! I also treated myself to a Dr. Pepper after the race and then on Sunday felt guilty because we had a sunday school lesson on the Word of Wisdom and caffeine. OOPS! (It was so worth it!) I stole these pictures from Amy since she is the one who had the camera to document her first marathon.

Heather, Amy and Steph finishers at the end of the race! We are just happy it is over with! You either love it or hate and it and I am surprised that Amy wants to do another one in a few months! You go girl!

Steph, Heather and Amy at the start line. I seriously hate the bus ride up because it only takes a minute and people start talking about qualifying for Boston and yes do I sound a little bitter! J/K

Yummy carb loading dinner the night before at the Brick Oven. Gotta love that place.
