Today was a beautiful day for sledding. Kelty is enjoying it more. She use to scream all the way down but if you notice the slope wasn't too steep I even had to pull it to go down the hill.

Hurry up and get your mrs. cavanaugh's easter eggs they are going fast. Okay so it was crazy at the chocolate store today. All these people taking a mad rush to the door and the ladies behind the counter telling everyone that this is it. These eggs are going fast. So everyone was hurrying to grab their mindy mints or caramel chocolates. We are okay we got ours before they sold out at the Bntfl store. I think we are all set now and ready for the easter bunny to come. It just came to early this year. I like it in April. My parents are going to wait to celebrate easter on general conference weekend. That is when we have an adult easter egg hunt and try to find the golden egg. Sean will not get it this year that is for sure! I didn't say that as a challenge or to be competitive. We usually have easter dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Dagley but they are still in Scottsdale finishing up their art show. Darn! I like Easter at their place and the nice dinner Pat cooks. Maybe Brett will cook easter dinner this sunday? I hope everyone has a fun easter celebration and remembers the reason why we celebrate! P.S. Jen remember the easter bunny costume I wore on my mission for that family's easter party? How could you not!

since your little princesses may be sleeping when you get home here is what we did today. Yep we finally chopped Kelty's hair. It was getting so long. Lets be real I can not do girls hair and make those fun ponytails and braids and fancy other things. I can't even do my own hair cute. I think it looks really cute on her and she likes it.

i love to see the temple.. i'm going there some day..

Last night after we left grandma and grandpa's Kelty and Teagan both yelled, "hook mom, it's the temple". (those of you who know my girls can't say their l sounds). They wanted to drive up the hill to the temple to take a picture. Kelty and Teagan get really excitted when we drive by the temple or see a picture of the temple and they know that is where their parents were married and talk about getting married in the temple. It makes us happy to see the look on their faces when we walk on the temple grounds and it's a proud parent moment to know that maybe we are teaching them in some small way and that their little testimonies are just starting to take root about the importance of the temple and the plan of salvation. Kelty tells me that she is going to marry Caden when she gets bigger in the temple but not to be sad because she will come and see me and take care of me. That is comforting I tell her but let's not talk about marriage now and first learn how to ride her bike or graduate from pre-school and wait till she is 24 to have this talk. She laughs and tells me I am silly. No I am serious.

Last night we took a drive to Logan and stopped in to say Hi to Great Grandma and Grandpa Marshall and when we say Great they are Great to us! Teagan loves the chocolate that Grandma kept offering to her. Kelty loved playing with the legos and she built an interesting tower. Thanks for letting us visit and for sharing the pictures from your albums. We had a wonderful time.

This weekend was filled with boys, disney princesses and easter fun. I have to say that our Teagan can keep up with the boys and was a lot messier eating then everyone. I think boys are made of food, trucks and dealing with girls moods and that's what little boys are made of and girls are made of princess dresses, milk chocolate and fairytale wishes and that's what little girls are made of (at least in my house).

At disney on ice kelty picked out an Ariel barbie doll and a T-shirt but I didn't get suckered into buying those $20 dollar wands that glow in the dark and $12 shaved ice princess cups. She was really excitted about her gifts until we got home. I had a princess costume for Teagan to open since she didn't go to the show. Let's just say that Princess Snow White Kelty is a little jealous of Princess Teagan in the Ariel costume. I think Kelty has told me about 20 times that she doesn't have a princess Ariel costume. Teagan didn't feel left out yesterday because she spent the afternoon with Dad shopping and eating Mrs. Fields cookies at the Mall and who knows what else they did since Brett won't tell.

Aunt Ariel gave Kelty and Teagan an easter bunny key to leave outside our door to let the easter bunny in on Easter! We have it hanging on the door right now. Thanks Ariel!

Easter egg scavenger hunt with the whole gang!

This past week we watched my friends cute boys while she was in Hawaii. I only know how to raise girls so it was a whole new adventure with boys. My girls have so much fun with Isaac and Porter. We had an easter egg hunt and dyed easter eggs. We also decorated sugar cookies and played outside when the weather was okay.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BROTHER-IN-LAW

Kelty woke up this morning and told me that it was Josh's birthday and that she wants to wear her school clothes (nice clothes only for school) to go to Josh's birthday party. Do you know how hard it was to explain that Josh is having his party in Vegas and we won't be able to go but she really, really wants birthday cake and then I told her that Jay is making him brownies and she said she didn't like brownies. I posted these pictures from last year when we all went to Moab for the half marathon and Josh told Kelty that he made the Red Rocks and so she still actually believes that Josh made the red rocks in Moab and St. Gegorge. One day she will realize that Josh tricked her but for now Happy Birthday Uncle Josh! from the Dagleys!

Don't mess with your neice. You could say that uncle Sean likes to tease a little. Kelty was making faces at him to stop whatever he was teasing her about. That only invited him to tease just a little bit more. They still love all their uncles and aunts and love to be around them whenever they come over.

Teagan like to ride "the dinosaur" which is dad. Last night the girls had fun at Grandma Smith's riding dinosaurs and having a pillow fight. I think Uncle Sean enjoyed it more. I don't know who won!

steph's weakness......thin mints

It's that time of year again! First Brett comes home with an undisclosed amount of Girl Scout cookies and tells me that I am going to Love him. Then he tells me that he has hidden them because he knows me well enought that I could eat and eat those yummy thin mints. This is true love when your husband brings home your favorite thing and then hides it. My nose will find them.

My babies aren't babies anymore. I was having one of those in awe days where I would look at each of my girls when they were talking or playing and they just look old to me. I tried sleeping in this morning and at 6:10 am Kelty came into my room and got in bed and told me to wake up. I told her I was trying to sleep in and she replied saying, "mom you have to sleep in the dark not in the sunny". Kelty went to the movie Enchanted with Grandma Smith and Aunt Shannon tonight. Teagan loves it when Kelty is gone then she goes up into Kelty's room and plays with all the forbidden princess dolls and polly pocket dolls. Teagan is in her NO NOT ME stage. Everything you ask or tell her to do she replies with NO NOT ME unless you bribe with chocolate and then she is as sweet as an angel. We are working on potty training and well today was a NO NOT ME day.

Brett's idea of Family Home Evening

Guess who's turn it was for Family Home Evening last night? Of course there was bearing of our testimonies after playing the wii and yummy dessert. Why is it that after every FHE lesson Kelty insists on marshmallow popcorn. We invested in a second controller and so now we all fight over taking turns playing. Teagan has no idea what to do with the controller so she just cheers us on. Kelty really enjoys playing baseball she gets a little frustrated over bowling. She takes after her mom. When Brett and I were dating we only went bowling once. So I can definately tell you that I am lame at it but not on the wii. Also note the new tinkerbell pj's worn by Kelty. She lives in them.

11 Year Anniversary

When ever March comes around I have so many wonderful memories come to pass. March 1, 1997 was a very special day for me. I took out my endowments in the Salt Lake Temple then 18 days later I entered the MTC as a missionary. Hard to believe that it has been 11 years. I am so grateful for Temples and for the opportunity I had to serve a mission and for the expereinces I had which strengthened my testimony of the gospel.

Winter Blues Anyone?

Just wishing I was on on a beach right now and soaking in the warm rays. I loved this beach in St. John. This was 4 years ago. Snow Snow go away come again next year.

Sunday dinner with the cousins

Grandma Dagley was in town watching grandkids. We had sunday dinner with the cousins. Kody lead Teagan down to the basement and then supervised the other cousins the rest of the afternoon. Dinner was yummy!! Thanks for having us over.

Where's the Wheat?

My wife went to Enrichment tonight and learned all about wheat and how to make wheat and what to make with wheat and why wheat is so cool. Needless to say, I think my wife is pretty cool for getting a degree in wheat-making. I can't wait to find the wheat all over my house. Hope you all enjoy my wheat grinder picture.

Tax season in full speed

We don't see much of Brett these days. We love you! Thanks for working hard and bringing home the bacon (I can not stand anything that has to do with a pig). Look forward to fake fridays!

IPM Sista reunion

Last Tuesday Rebecca and I met Jen for Lunch at Cafe Rio. Jen was in town for a few weeks. It was so good to see everyone and catch up. Safe travels home Jen.

Cabin Fever

We had a fun weekend at the cabin in Timberlakes. The family enjoyed a day of sledding and snowmobiling. Aunt Shannon came along and had a sleep over with Kelty in the bunk room. It was a beautiful day on Saturday. No complaining from me. I love the snow. It reminds me of home in Alaska.
